Baby #3
We would like to announce the safe arrival of Abigail Lorraine to our family. She was born conveniently on January 27. By "convenient" I mean just that. Having to think about all the scenarios of what to do when you finally go into labour is more stressful than the actual birth. Will Brad be at home or at work? Will Lily be at school? Will it happen during the day or at night? Weekday or weekend? Who will look after the girls, etc. It goes on and on...
So, conveniently, Sunday morning, before heading out the door to Church, I knew that this was it. I was able to phone my cousin Christy, and my Aunt and Uncle to come over and watch the girls for us as we headed to the hospital. They also brought over a huge prime rib meal for everyone too! Ideally, the doctors/nurses wanted me to have one bag of antibiotics in my system before Abigail came. If this wasn't able to happen, Abby would need to stay in the hospital for 48ish hours and be hooked up to antibiotics. After one bag was done and the second bag was hooked up, 10 minutes later... welcome Abigail! The only thing not convenient about her arrival was that she didn't come before or on her due date (January 19). With each girl I've experienced it all, 5 weeks early with Lily, right on the due date with Ella, and overdue with Abby. I guess the only thing that hasn't happened yet is a boy! DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT ASKING - THIS IS IT!!!
Here are some pics. Not too bad, huh? :D
