Renos

As I mentioned in my last post, Brad's working on finishing the basement.  It was finished before, but there was some previous water damage that we knew about before we bought the house that we've been wanting to get fixed, and the style and layout of the basement wasn't very appealing.  I think I also mentioned that we were only going to be doing the two small rooms, but have since decided to do the whole thing.  We've moved everything from our basement to our main level.  It's a little squishy up here, but with some time I'll be able to organize it a bit and make it really cozy.  Brad's Dad continues to be a huge help.  He came over yesterday to lend his muscles at clearing out the demo'd walls and floor.  We rented the biggest bin, but still have some more to take down.  I think one more bin will do it.  Having a deadline with a bin will get me motivated to go through some of the boxes upstairs and hopefully clean up our space and get rid of the extra we don't need.  Here are some pics so far:

Before

It didn't show in the first picture, but there used to be a half wall in between the two posts.

After

This last pic is and early Father's Day present to Brad.  I thought that after all his hard work in the basement he needed a place to rest and relax.  The hammock is perfect for that!  Although, when Brad is in it, the kids want to join him too.  When they're all in the hammock, it feels more like a bouncy castle!  Thanks for all your hard work Brad!
